POV: Soft morning light through tall Paris windows. The smell of coffee and hairspray. The quiet laughter of your bridesmaids behind you as they help lace up your gown.
This is the part of your wedding day no one really talks about… but it’s the part you’ll remember most.
More than just “getting ready”
In all the timelines, vendor emails, and seating charts, we forget that the morning is where it all begins. It’s where the nerves turn into excitement. Where you get to just be with your people before the world sees you as a bride.
When you’re planning a wedding in France, the getting ready moment feels even more special.
Maybe you’re in a Haussmann apartment with those big shuttered windows. Maybe it’s a bridal suite in a château, with gardens you can see from the mirror.
Wherever it is, this is your pocket of calm before the magic.
3 tips for a stress-free bridal morning in France
As a Paris based wedding planner, the mornings I love most are the ones that feel slow and joyful. Here’s how we create that:
1. Give yourself more time than you think
I always build in a 30-minute buffer. For one last steaming of the dress. For photos with your mom. A relaxed morning doesn’t just look better in photos — it feels better.
2. Choose your getting-ready space with intention
Natural light is everything. We look for big windows, neutral backgrounds, and enough room for you, your bridesmaids, and your photographer to move. During venue visits, this is one of the first things I help you check. The right space makes all the difference.
3. Assign a point person who isn’t you
Someone to handle the water, the snacks, cueing the photographer, making sure your dress is ready. Someone so you don’t have to think. This is exactly what my D-day coordination is for — so you can stay in your moment, while I handle everything behind the scenes.
The details I’ll always remember
It’s the hands helping with the corset. The final spritz of perfume. The first look at each other in your dresses, before anyone else sees you.
These tiny, in-between moments are what make your day feel like yours. They deserve to be captured. And they deserve to be protected from stress.
Let’s create your morning
Planning a wedding in France should feel exciting, not overwhelming. If you want a morning like this — calm, beautiful, and fully taken care of — I’d love to help you design it.
From the timeline to the light to the last lace-up, we’ll make sure every detail is thought of.
So all you have to do is breathe, smile, and enjoy it.
